R3 was founded by Antoine Welter and Xavier Kohll, who together identified automated disassembly as the critical bottleneck in the circular economy and built R3 to solve it.

Antoine is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor who built his career around purpose-driven businesses focused on industrial innovation. As CEO and Co-founder of R3 Robotics, he sets the company's strategic direction, drives partnerships, and leads its growth. He holds multiple graduate degrees in business and studied in Germany, China, and the US.

Xavier holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from ETH Zürich and brings hands-on product development and industrial process experience from roles at DuPont and Paul Wurth. At R3 Robotics, he leads the technical vision, system architecture, and development of the automated disassembly platform.
